C. Thomas Burke
Since 1997, Mr. Burke has served as Senior Advisor to the President and CEO of
Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, “K" Line America, Inc., in Washington, D. C. "K" Line is an Ocean Carrier with over 400 ships in a fleet serving the World. Headquarters Office, Tokyo, Japan.
Chairman of the National Maritime Security Discussion Agreement (Federal Maritime Commission Authority No 11852). The MSDA is composed of over 45 members representing Ocean Carriers; Terminal Operators and Operating Port Authorities. The Mission of the Group was to develop a strategy to comply with Government mandates on providing new and improved Security measures for North American Ports.
In 1990, President George H.W. Bush appointed Mr. Burke a U. S. Commissioner of the Panama Canal Study Commission, U. S. Department of State.
He has served as Executive Director of three U. S. Port Authorities: The Seaway Port Authority of Duluth Minnesota (Lake Superior), The Cleveland Ohio Port Authority (Lake Erie) and the Port Everglades Port Authority, Fort Lauderdale, Florida. His first Port assignment was Assistant to the Director of Port Commerce, The Port Authority of New York/New Jersey.
Mr. Burke is currently Chairman of the Transportation Law Section of the Virginia Bar Association and a member of the Board of Directors of the Center for Oceans Law and Policy, University of Virginia School of Law, Charlottesville, Virginia. He is a former National Vice President of the Federal Bar Association.
He is the recipient of numerous Honors and Awards such as:
The "Amity Medallion" of the French Government presented by Marcel Antionez, French Secretary of State, Paris, France. 1972
45th Recipient of the "Medal of Honor" Antwerp, Belgium; presented by Dr. Leo Del Waide, Chairman of the Legislative Council, City of Antwerp, 1975.

Mr. Burke was inducted into the "International Maritime Hall of Fame" at the United Nations, New York City. 2003

Ibrahim Al Mubayadh of Saudi Aramco will be presenting a topic on a new Supply Chain Solution called "Stocker-Distributor." Saudi Aramco plans to transfer inventory and associated supply chain functions to its
partners as part of the outsourcing initiative - starting with electrical commodity that involves $78 million. Staging materials for work orders (reservations in SAP) will be fully carried out by these new stocker distributors. Vendor motivation and collaboration are also main
points of this topic. The presenter will also talk about initiatives in the ERP system & performance measures that can turn out efficient and productive supply chain. Improving Service Level and Customer Support will also be covered in the presentation.
